Chosen Solution i accidentally broke the male end of the power button connector that mounts to the logic board. does anyone know where to source the plastic, the wires are fine, it’s just the tab that goes into the connector? i need the part number. It sounds like you’re talking about the button that goes from the power button to the logic board? The best thing I could come up with was an entire power button replacement which would come with that male connector it seems....

Chosen Solution I just did a screen replacement with an iPhone 8. Moved the Home button from old to new with no issues. I have come up with a weird issue. After boot-up, after about 10 seconds, an on-screen home button shows up. There is no error that comes up in relation to the home button (Touch ID can not be Activated, for example.) You can not use the Home button to turn on the device or go home....

Chosen Solution Where can I get replacement joystick hats for the JXD S7800b in the UK or evenb US if they ship to the UK? I tried to order from the official site but after a month they never arrived and now they’re ignoring my emails. I seriously doubt that the JXD official was out of service back in 2017. It appears that the joystick hat can be unsoldered from the PCB and a replacement soldered back on....

Chosen Solution Ok, so first off, this isn’t my first replacement screen. I’ve done a few in my time. I have kids and they can’t seem to keep their phones protected. Anyway, I set out last night to replace my daughters iPhone 7 plus screen. I had to swap the home buttom, camera, sensor, etc as the replacement was just the LCD and glass. After connecting the new LCD, I did my usual power on the phone to check the display and make sure it works....

Chosen Solution The dipstick oil tube is broke and i need to replace it.. I have the same problem I bought a replacement tube and there are two screws to take the tube off. One on top that is visible and the other is down hidden and I can’t seem to get the bottom screw off or even find where I can reach it.

Checked everything possible including software reinstall and bought a new USB cable but nothing. Chosen Solution Dropped iPhone 7 Plus and along with cracking there are rgb lines top down all over the screen but I can still see some normal screen too. do I just need to replace the lcd and such You need to replace the screen. It comes in one piece. It includes the LCD and digitizer.

I just received the unit itself today after having the new Wifi module installed and paying them the inspection/diag fee along with part cost for the wifi module. What could be my problem Did you set the initial timing when you changed the distributor? It will not run correctly because it’s trying ser the ignition timing from the factory base but if you didn’t set it correctly it will try to find it....

Chosen Solution My iPhone 11 screen has cracked and I cant find an 11 lcd screen replacement to buy anywhere online to repair myself. After some looking for picture of both the XR and the 11 under the display and the screens itself they look very very similar. Could I possibly buy an XR display and use it on the 11 with it fitting properly? The display modules look the same, but you can’t install the screen from iPhone XR to iPhone 11 because they have technical incompatibilities....

Chosen Solution I have a problem with my Samsung Galaxy View and the SD Card working, it will not stay in and when it does it does not recognize it. Do I need to replace the card reader or is there a fix for it. You might have an obstruction in the slot that’s keeping the eject mechanism engaged and blocking the contacts of the card. You might try some compressed air to see if any hair or debris comes out....

Chosen Solution I believe that my iPhone 6 mainly works, but I can’t turn it on because I can’t press the buttons. The home button works, but none of the buttons on the side, such as the lock button, volume buttons, and the do not disturb switch click when you press or switch them. You can prompt the phone to turn on by plugging it into a charger. If it doesn’t turn on, there is another underlying issue....

Chosen Solution does any one know how to attach the back cover of a fossil explorist gen 3. the back panel came off, and 2 wires are visible. ive got no cl ue where to re solder them to. Really late but might help someone. Use a case opener and unscrew the back. If you look at the pic the wires solder to the connections hidden under the back to the left....

Chosen Solution After battery and screen replacement on my daughter’s 5S (my first time with IFIXIT), the phone just keeps rebooting (boot looping) at about 3 minute intervals. Black apple on white screen, but nothing else, which is evidently rare. Virtually all the boot looping cases I’ve found in forums involve other recurring problems, like blue or red screens or bars, and often the answer is based on the color or bar issues....

Chosen Solution All of them, every single one…. are shutting off and not turning back on… for my ps4 and ps3 it seemed to be an over heating issue, once I replaced the cpu paste on my ps3 it started working but my ps4 it’s having the same issue, NOW my Xbox one (original version) is also shutting off and not turning back on, I press the button, it beeps, fan goes on for a moment, then off, power brick turn green then solid orange....

Chosen Solution My switch fell into a pool last month and damaged the screen. I finally opened it up and cleaned it with 99% alcohol and replaced the screen. Now the Home and Capture buttons don’t work, dpad down makes the volume go up, and L3 acts like the power button. Any ideas what’s happening or how to fix? This is not good news. Considering what you have just described, it’s safe to say that you should abandon the console but salvage things like buttons, the new screen, and the digitiser....

Chosen Solution Hi there. I have a MacBookPro 9,1 (15"). Is it possible to easily remove the discrete graphic card and plug the integrated card to the thunderbolt port ? (The goal is to remove the discrete but still be able to plug the computer to an external screen). If it is possible, do you have some links for the directions ?
